Homer Simpson
Ok, thanks Ron!

Do you know how to do 40, 41?

40. Countries A and B have the same levels of income inequality according to Gini ratio. What does this imply about the share of total income accruing to the bottom 50 percent of the population in these two counties?

(a) The share will be same in both the countries
(b) The share will be same and equal to 50 percent for both the countries
(c) It cannot be determined without additional information
(d) The share is larger for the larger country

Is it (a)??

41. In the period 2005 to 2OlO, country X experienced 25 percent growth in income and 5 percent reduction in income poverty. In the same period, country Y experienced 20% growth in income and 4 percent reduction in income poverty. In which country was growth more efficient in reducing poverty?

(a) Country X
(b) Country Y
(c) It was equally efficient in both the countries
(d) Cannot be determined

10 will be d. IS curve incorporates relation between I and i. Thus, LM slope is unaffected and yeah, 8 a (whoops :D)

Oh alright!
Tsuki, why is the sample variance 1.96 in 45th? Shouldn't it be 2.33?

Hey, yeah its 2.33 The sample variance denominator is n-1. please let me know if you find any other errors :) i will check them again!

Re: SAU 2013 paper

Anjali
@tsuki please check ques 39 again. Iam getting c as the answer.
And @Ashima , even I think 10th should be d. And in ques 36th the solutions are not satisfying both the equations. So there Iam stuck !

Hey Anjali, do you reckon we need to adjust K/Y for unused capital? or is it already shown in the capital-output ratio? after adjusting, i am getting 12.33 for growth rate..confused about that!
