SAU started teaching economics in d year 2010.its course structure is good, but it is not d best of d institutes for economics study(infact it is way below any other reputed institute like dse, jnu, isi, gokhale, mse or jamia).
it will take another 4 years for this institute to get good reputation in market.
keep SAU as your last option.although i m very much sure u will get a call.

regarding development economics,it is one of d most emerging branches of economics and its scope is definitely very good.u will get placed in various NGOs or companies doing research on development in asian economies.only few institutes provide this unique course n SAU is one of them.

I agree with sunny... it is still a developing university..however it is good for development economics. Go for the course as the course has a great scope ahead! otherwise there are always pros n cons to each and every university!
