actually Both ISI and DSE economics courses are mathematical oriented.....lots and lots of mathematics
i cannot give u the details of ISI as i dont no the details of its course structure but surely can share vd u my experience @ DSE
From the very 1st day when the lectures started, heavy dose of mathematics started whether it is micro or macro....i heard in my graduation days dat in old times dere was a very littile use of mathematics in economics but in modern time one cannot think of economics without the usage mathematics theorems, and in DSE i have really felt dat. Every economic theory has mathematics behind it...on the other hand economic intution is also very important...Intution and mathematics are the two sides of the same coin called Economics.
Whether u chose to go in ISI or DSE, u will find how maths can be applied in each and every theory of economics and how economic intuition is suppoted and proved by mathematics....
