cOVARIANCE DOUBT

covariance between 2 variables is the extent of linear relationship...so the covariance btw x and y where sq(x)+sq(y)=1 should ideally be zero as on plotting the graph, a circle is obtained, and hence ther isnt any linear relationship. However when i apply the ƩƩ(X-µx)(Y-µy) formula, im getting the covariance to be -1/8.
Sir, can you please tell me where iv went wrong?

what is the reason for taking f(x,Y)=1/2pie
