Jamia is a very good place .u will get great teachers dere like Dr.Indrani Roy Chowdhry and MS.Bhatt sir .There are many other good teachers.course content is good .combination of both higher mathematics and theory.crowd is mixed .theres a lot of competition among students so U will enjoy.the dept holds many public lectures by jnu professors etc....placement is good but not that active .it depends on the batch ...most students are not desirous of placements ,they go for either higher studies or upsc.this year one boy got 12 Lac package ,it was some Japanese company which usually comes to hire btech students.companies like smart cube ,India infrastructure comes to campus every year .they give 8 Lac package but they dont select too many students.placement depends  n batch to batch.if not campus placement students usually acquire job on their own but package is not that great!
 
Cds I dont know much but I hve heard it provides us a lot of exposure in terms of international seminar ...it has great name in academic world...the course structure is rigorous ...people say it has brand value ...but studying in south is tufff very ...i left mse bcoz it was tough for me to stay in south ,I opted for jamia.

Firstly a big congratulations to you for making it to both these institutes
See if you are interested in hardcore research abroad , then go for CDS. And one more thing , just look at its brochure to locate the subjects. Viv told me that CDS doesn't focus on game theory. So if this subject is of concern to you , then you may skip CDS.
Jamia is good. As Mphil has mentioned , if there is a scope of placement , then Jamia will provide you the flexibility of taking up either a job or research. On the other hand , CDS has negligible in campus placements. But since it bears a JNU tag , it may provide an advantage off campus. Not sure, so will not comment on that.
Jamia is in Delhi , so Iam sure it must be in your comfort zone. So now just estimate , the opportunity cost of going to Kerala
