there are two fair coins .coin 1 is tossed 3 times .let X be the no. of heads that occur.after this coin 2 is tossed X times.let Y be the no. of heads that occur. the prob, that (X>=2/Y=1) EQUALS..

X=2 with probability 3/8          Y=0 with probability 1/4 or Y=1 with probability 1/2 or Y=2 with probability                                
                                              1/4
X=3 with probability 1/8          Y=0 with probability 1/8 or Y=1 with probability 3/8 or Y=2 with probability                                
                                              3/8 or Y=3 with probability 1/8


P(X>=2∩Y=1)=P(X=2,Y=1)+P(X=3,Y=1)=3/8*1/2+1/8*3/8=15/64
P(Y=1)=P(X=1,Y=1)+P(X=2,Y=1)+P(X=3,Y=1)=3/8*1/2+15/64=27/64

Answer=15/27=5/9=10/18
