gIPE documents query

Guys anyone from DU ? Well they have mentioned a migration/transfer certificate as a document required I have a provisional cum character certificate allotted by the college  ...and for obtaining a migration it's a time consuming process from the university and moreover u need to give details of the university u r enrolling in ...so can u plz help what can be done in this situation ? CAuse most probably I will get a call from sau and JNu and I will enroll in them instead

Provisional certificate is your transfer certificate and that is the only document to be provided.
Do we need a migration too ,it is not mention anywhere i guess?

U sure coz I have only this provisional cum character certificate . ....in the mail they sent it's given transfer /migration certificate

Hey you will get the migration certificate from DU after 1 week of applying. Plus you have to mention the university in the application form to which you are migrating. But that's just a formality coz they don't mention the name of the university on the migration certificate.

Eco 16 u sure about this transfer certificate thing ?

Whenever any University demands transfer or migration certificate they provide you with ample of time to get it done from your previous University(as it takes a week if you are applying to get a migration certificate from du) , they don't demand right at the time of admission and even if they do you can tell them you will get it soon and they will give you some deadline as dse has 31 August, some other University has 30th sept.

I am a last year pass out from du and the only document i have got is transfer/provisional certificate..so is character certificate something else?

Yeah you can show them your provisional cum character certificate for now and submit the migration certificate later on.

I have got nothing from university ....All I have a document issued from the college with heading provisional cum character .....m also a pass out student ....but on my certificate nothing as transfer is mentioned

Man! You get a provisional certificate from your college and you can apply for migration certificate from du, apart from it let me tell me you that Universities might ask you for the provisional issued by the University and not your college, in that case you will have to apply for it too at the du office with your migration form.

Guys you can apply for the university migration certificate from DU right now. I got mine in less than a week after applying.

Thanks a lot my query is cleared now ....so in nutshell the document we have will be sufficient for the moment ...meanwhile we can apply for the migration and ask for extension time if the university asks for it

Provisonal is not tranfer/migration. I had a talk with GIPE admin , they are saying that we have to submit the receipt of migration certifate, if we cant get it before 22. The procedure for getting migration certificate is that you have to fill up a form which u will get from window 17 VC office , then verify that form from your college. After that just pay 500₹ & attach your provisional or marksheet with it, you will get your migration after 7 working days.
You can submit the receipt if you dont get it before 22.
