I have received offer for my third preference- Agribusiness Economics. But I want to be considered for Financial Economics. But if I pay the fees will I not stand a chance for Financial Economics anymore?? Will they give it to someone below me on the merit list thinking I have already taken admission in Agribusiness? Please help me! Its high time I have to pay the fees. And I have mailed them twice but they would not reply. I had even called but no answer! Please help....

I think non-payment of the fees would lead to cancellation of your admission. You will have to pay the fees if you want to be considered for financial economics. The final preferences would be allotted on the day of the counselling. I'd suggest you try them a few more times and then pay the fees just to be on the safe side.

Thanks Ankur! And problem solved. I called them yet again and finally they have confirmed that they will consider me for the first two preferences as per merit list even if I pay the fees!

Nupur, I see your rank is 373. Am I right? Though, my rank is between 100-120, I have not received any mail, from GIPE. I try to contact GIPE, but they do not receive calls. My preferences were similar to you: Econ> Fin Econ >Agri.

My rank is 111 and I haven't received any mail.. My first pref is financial and second gen and I have no third pref.
