I haven't used Eviews, but I know Stata. And if you learn the commands, its quite easy to use. No rocket science :)
You can buy stata, otherwise you can download from torrent.
Though If you don't want to pay, I would advice you to take these software from your seniors/teachers (They can give you in pen drive)
