Hi.. :)
I can understand your state right now..But Don't be sad..
Sometimes its our state of mind which goof up everything no matter how hard we study..
But, If you're really keen on going to DSE, ISI, JNU then, study more harder this year.. Try to learn from the mistakes you did in DSE, ISI this year.. Furnish them. Learn more..solve more problems.. Try some advanced level online courses.. Increase your knowledge.. Be relaxed.. And maintain cool state of mind next year while giving the exam..
Am sure next year you'll definitely get through wherever you would want.. :)
And abhi JNU result is not out yet.. You might get through there.. :)

I will say the same. Take admission in which ever you feel like for this year. Side by side prepare and take the exams, if you get through then take admission there. Or else atleast you are not wasting a year plus you have benefit over other candidates as you have the knowledge of two semesters of Masters level Economics. And trust me on this part, a year drop DOES NOT ENSURE A SEAT IN A BETTER COLLEGE NEXT YEAR.

We can study, only that is in our hands, rest what the paper will be like, what you might do in those 3 hours, your mental state are not in your hands. So, don't drop. I haven't seen a lot of success stories of drops for M.A Economics. As the studying you need to do is not as engaging as say IIT-JEE (the reference as I see a lot of success stories in IIT by drop year). So you might lose vigor in between and pace up 4 months before. That is good, but not always sufficient.
