Exactly. No clue what's happening. Is it wise to join any university (in my case, calcutta university)  and appear for these exams next year, again?

Will we still get upgraded in the next call if we don't accept this offer?

So did I. I guess. That's what happened with a few people I know. They got upgraded to Financial eco from IBEF without paying the fees. Should we call and ask once?

I don't know,I'm very confused. I don't think it's a safe course and our options for employment may be too narrow after that.
Also, it was just launched last year i guess, so there must be no placement record we can refer to.

Yep. You call them once and say ki you heard otherwise from your friends who had called earlier. And paying or not paying should not be an issue. They would have mentioned it.
