Hey! I am from Calcutta and joined this forum lately.
I have a rank of 123 in GIPE. An chances I might get through? I don't ant to study agriculture :P
Also any chances for a second list at MSE? I missed the first list cut off by 0.5 marks.
any advice would be helpful. Thank you :)

I don't know about MSE.. but for GIPE ... as far as i have seen posts on this forum.. you will get option of Msc International Business eco and finance. ... and Msc Agri business eco...... the chance of getting financial are low (but possible maybe).. remember there are only 20 general seats for each course..

WHAT i though there are 40 seats each, shit. My score is between 105-110, will i get financial?
And is the international finance course good?

40 seats are there total for each course.... 20 open category seats for each..... and international eco course is v good... it includes some certificate courses in finance softwares and other training also.. maybe it is similar to financial eco also(not as specialised in finance but papers must be there)

I talked 7-8  STUDENTS from MSE and GIPE both they told me that if you r getting anything like GE, FE OR AQF, you should go MSE, even it is better than JNU if your purpose is to take placement, if you r not getting through MSE than GIPE is better option...last time JP MORGAN hire a student hire a student from GIPE and deloitte offered 9 lakh to 7-9 student however deloitte offered 12 lakh for same profile and hire 13 students from MSE, there is around 110 student get placement out of 143 student till now and some company is about to come IN MSE with average placement around 8.5-9 lakh, AND 50% STUDENT get placement in gipe, THEY told me last time 70-80 percent people get placement last time in gipe, IT'S all DEMONETISATION effect you can see better placement in gipe from next year because there placement committee is going to fully change.... (they all r in placement cell)

don't look at total seat in GIPE last time they take admission more than given seats... approx 1.5 times

Any idea what a rank like 96 has in getting gen or financial?

Or would I likely be getting AQF, if at all?

Elpsy you have a higher probability of getting aqf in first councelling, which if trend of last year holds is pretty much guaranteed.

Btw the first year syllabus for fin eco and AQF is exactly the same..

So, should I be expecting a letter from GIPE in the second round or do I need to wait longer? A PDF mentioned that there would only be 3 rounds of counselling.
How is the IBEF course at GIPE? Should I take it if I am offered that or dropping a year is a more feasible option?

Hi, Sushman, thankyou so much for your help.
 How are you so sure that we will get financial? General seats are only 20 for each course.
Is there any chance that we have to wait till the end of july to get a call?
