after reading up the websites of the two institutes and seeing the research work and placements, i would say THEY BOTH Are EQUAL. like not even a point difference. It is just that the degree at MSE is Master of Science which sometimes is termed better
@Xiang: even i mailed them..they didn't reply..!! if they don't bring out the list by monday..i'll possibly take up gokhale only..but i really want to join mse..!!
I am thinking of joining a little late. defer my admission by say 2 days or something. till them mse results will be out and i would know for sure where i am going.
hey I got admission into fin eco too at gipe and have been wondering whether to go or not. the whole result delayed for both mse and jnu is a bit of a problem now. so I was wondering are you sure there won't be any problems with joining in Gokhale later? when do u plan to join exactly? because as of now neither mse nor jnu have any conclusive dates when they will be declaring the results.
I was surfing the net and I stumbled upon this cut off list from last year for the MSc programmes in MSE. The general cut off for Financial and geNERAl eco were 50 while those of the remaining were 45. Any idea if this is going to be the same this year?
If you look at that list(General &Financial Economics) closely, you would find that 213 general category students were called up for just 50 general category seats...They just didn't want to put out a second list..Just because you are called for counselling,it doesn't mean that you would get a seat..I don't know about this year though..
