relax preet. take a deep breath. first of all remember that u cleared the written test..i don't think u shud think of urself as a loser :)
secondly, i think u hv a pretty decent chance. even i hv heard that the questions in the afternoon session were very difficult..i'm sure they'll keep that in mind..n don't worry about the fact that they told u to leave..they r doing that to everyone. plus, the fact that they gave u hints shows that they wanted u to arrive at the right answer..they could hv shown u the door earlier :)
if n+1 is a multiple of 5, u just take the appropriate number of 5s.
if n+1 is a not a multiple of 5, u hv 2 cases:
a) n is not a multiple of 5. in this case u must hv at least one 4 in the stamps that u use to make up n. replace it by 5.
b) n is a multiple of 5. in this case u must hv all 5s. also u hv at least 3 5s. just replace those 3 5s by 4s, and add another 4.
For what it's worth, day 3 afternoon session questions :
Micro :
Ui = (xiyi)^.5 i = A,B
endowments for A(w1A,w2A) are (1,0) and B(w1B,w2B) (0,2).
Find price ratio and equilibrium allocation.
If the endowments are changed does the price ratio change
Show that the contract curve is x1A/x2A = x1B/x2B = 1/2 = (w1A + w1B) / (w2A + w2B)
Math :
How many real roots does (x-a)cube + (x-b)cube + (x-c)cube = 0 have given a<b<c (i think this also appeared in an old isi paper)
As people have mentioned before, they do give hints when you're not able to get an answer. Good luck for tomorrow!
Even i wish to know that. I am expecting that it might come today coz kolkata had its interview at June end. So it's only Delhi centre that was left. Lets see.
BTW, how was ur interview neha?
